Integrated service for driving and employment support for the disabled is in full swing

The environment for employment and commuting for the disabled is expected to be further improved as the Integrated

Service for Self-Driving and Employment Support for the Disabled, which allows people with

disabilities to get employment, vocational training, driver’s license, and vehicle modification information in one place, is implemented in earnest.

The Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled signed a “business agreement for self-driving

and employment support for the disabled” with the National Rehabilitation Center and the

Korea Expressway Transportation Corporation at the first exhibition hall of the aT Center on the 15th.

For disabled people to get information on employment, vocational training, driver’s license acquisition,

and vehicle modification, they had no choice but to visit the institution or inquire about the information on the Internet,

but the agreement, which is signed under the government’s 3.0 policy, will establish a system that

allows them to use information from various institutions in an integrated manner.

Driving employment

For example, if a person with a disability who uses the service of the industrial complex needs

driving (license, adaptation) training, driver’s license acquisition education, and license acquisition

support services at the National Rehabilitation Center or the Korea Expressway Transportation

In addition, if disabled people who are receiving driving (license, adaptation) need employment

or vehicle improvement services, they will be able to use employment support (employment mediation,

vocational training) and vehicle auxiliary engineering device support services for vehicle improvement through 18 branches of the industrial complex.

Park Seung-gyu, chairman of the corporation, said, “We hope that the establishment of a

one-stop integrated service cooperation system will make the service more convenient for people

with disabilities,” adding, “We will continue to push for the government 3.0 policy to share small

administrative information and collaborate to prevent people with disabilities from receiving services due to lack of information.”

The Integrated Service for Self-Driving and Employment Support for the Disabled,

which supports employment, driver’s license acquisition, and vehicle modification for the

disabled, is available through telephone consultation or visits by the institution.
